New in the UK: high gloss finishing

27 February 2009 - Albelli’s photo books are improving all the time. Quality is always our first priority. We recently made a few significant improvements. In the albelli photo book creator you can choose the high gloss option starting at £0.10 a page, depending on the size of the book. You probably have a large number of great photos on your harddrive, so why not try making a photo book yourself.

What is high gloss finishing ?
Instead of the normal matt finish you can now choose to print your whole photo book in high gloss. The result is astonishing : photos will enjoy more colour contrast. In the past you probably opted to have your analog film printed in high gloss photo ; now you can make your complete photo book this way. High gloss cannot be distuinguished from traditional photo paper!

How does it work ?
Pages are finished with a special coating, which gives a high gloss as a finish. The level of gloss is determined by measuring the reflection of light on the page. This will add a very special effect on the high quality paper. Every day many photo books are finished this way. Albelli’s high tech production facility has been the largest photo book provider of Europe for several years now.
