Tip for: download version of photo book program With a photo book you tell a story. Pages with the white background can be boring. When you use different backgrounds, your photo book comes to life. You can choose from three types of background: 1. An Albelli background 2. A colour 3. Your own photo 1. An Albelli background The Albelli photo book program contains splendid and original backgrounds. You can download these for free in the program. There are more than 14 themes: baby, wedding, holiday, wood, etc. This way you are sure to find a background that fits your photo book. How does it work? While making a photo book go to the menu button 'Insert' and choose 'Backgrounds'. Expand your background options with the button 'Download more' (bottom-right of the screen). You can now download one or more backgrounds at the same time. Once the download is complete, you can use the backgrounds as often as you like. Use a background with 'Apply' via the arrow under the image of the background, or drag the background to the page. If you tick the button 'on all the following pages', the background will be used on multiple pages. 2. A colour as a background Sometimes photos look nicer on a coloured background. In the Albelli photo book program you can choose a background colour. Choose, for instance, a colour that appears in the photo (see below). Decide for yourself which colour looks best with your photos. How does it work? While making a photo book go to the menu button 'Insert' and the toolbar button 'Background colour'. There are a number of basic colours available. It is also possible to make one yourself. Click on the coloured space behind 'Choose colour' and select your own colour from the palette. This is now also added to your background colours. If you want to choose a colour from the photo, click 'Select colour from photo'. Now the eyedropper tool appears. Use this to select a colour in a photo. You can add the colour to multiple pages if you click the arrow under the background colour. 3. A photo as background A photo book becomes even more personal with background photos. In the Albelli photo book program you can choose a photo as background. Tranquil photos with little colour contrast and/or blurred objects are suitable for use as a background. Consider a beautiful landscape photo, or a close-up photo of a flower. How does it work? Go to the photos in the selection panel at the left and choose a photo you want to use as the background. Click the arrow under the photo and then click 'Use as background'. If the resolution is high enough, the photo will appear as the background on the page. You can then set the degree of transparency yourself. Select the background photo and then choose the 'Transparency' option in the menu bar, or right-click on the background. The default transparency selected by the program is 50%. You can adjust this with the arrow shown next to it.
