Some tips for a holiday photo book…
Start by selecting your photos
Start selecting your best photos and categorise them in separate folders, by date or theme, it’s up to you. Are there any photos you would like to use as a background? Put these in a separate folder. This way, you will have an outlined to your chapters and all you need to do now is focus on the lay-out of the pages of your photo book.

Be creative with your lay-out
Choose the standard lay-out provided by our programme, or let your creativity flow by choosing the empty pages option. Why not fan out your photos across the page? How about spreading one of your photos across 2 pages? Create your very own personal design!

Embellishing your photo book
Decorate your book with pictures and other memories you have brought back from your holiday.
Why not for example insert the national flag or scan admission tickets and postcards etc.

Highlight your destination
See if you can look up the map or a street map on Google images of the places you’ve visited and let everyone see where you’ve been. Use Paintshop, Photoshop or PowerPoint to describe your route on the map, save it as a picture and hey presto! You can add it to your photo book.

Create your own personal title
Are you going on a beach holiday? You could write a nice title in the sand reading “Mallorca 2010” and use this as the cover to your holiday book! Are you making a city trip? Take a picture of the city’s welcoming sign and place it on the cover of your photo book. As a finishing touch, create a title for the book’s spine. None of this takes much time, but it’s the finishing touch that will make your holiday photo book just about perfect.
