The secret behind these beautiful pages is its background! Use the right blend of photos, flowers and design options to let your pages glow with the radiance of flowers. Read on and find out how to get it just right.
1.First step is to select a photo of a flower or flowers you’d like to use. Then select a colour that complements the natural colours of the flower(s) and use this colour as the background colour of both pages. Here, we opted for a photo of carnations and selected purple as the complementing colour to use as a background.
2. Then add the photo of flower(s) onto both pages. On the left page, stretch the placeholder of the photo (that’s the green line framing the photo) to fit the entire page. On the right page add the flower to the far right.
3. Then apply a ‘Gradient‘ Mask design over both pages. Do this by clicking on the the page, then go to Insert > Mask > use the drop down menu under ‘Gradient‘ and select and apply the Gradient mask that corresponds. Your background is now ready.
4. Add your photos to the central area. This will allow the vibrant background to frame your photos.
5. Then, for the final touches, add text and the ‘Tree wood‘ clip art (see below, left) onto the left page. To add the clip art, go to Insert > Clip art > 50s > select and apply the ‘Tree wood‘ clip art. The fonts used here are the Chalkduster & Century Gothic font types, which you can download for free at dafonts.com.
