Albelli is part of Albumprinter BV, the largest European photo book provider active in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the UK. Albumprinter, founded in 2003, has its own production facility in the Netherlands where production takes place for the whole of Europe.

Beginning 2007 Dutch venture capital firm Van den Ende & Deitmers invested in Albumprinter to enable albelli to expand. Now consumers throughout the world can make their own personal photo book.

In 2008 Albumprinter Albumprinter BV, mother organisation of albelli, won 2nd place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA. Albumprinter is the 2nd fastest growing technology company in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In October Albumprinter won the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 as the fastest growing technology company of the Netherlands. In 2008 Albumprinter was one of the Red Herring Europe 100 finalists.
