Amsterdam, October 10, 2008
Albumprinter BV, one of the largest suppliers of printed photo albums, has won the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award. It is the ninth time the Deloitte Fast 50 Award for fastest growing technology companies was organized. The ceremony took place in Taets Art Gallery in Zaandam on October 9th 2008.
Albumprinter reported a growth in turnover of 22,000 percent in the past five years and intends on continuing this growth. The company produces printed photo albums, calendars and agendas. Later this year new products will be added to the portfolio. In 2008 Albumprinter expects to double its turnover of 15 million in 2007. An estimated 10 to 15 percent of Dutch households order their photo albums through the internet; this percentage is lower in other countries. There’s still a large market to be developed for Albumprinter. In April 2008 Albumprinter launched the consumer brand albelli on the Dutch market. In line with its growth strategy it expanded recently to Germany and France. Soon activities will start in the United Kingdom. Albelli also operates on the US market.
Investing in quality
“It goes without saying that we are extremely happy with this award. We are convinced that Albumprinter has reached this point because of teamwork and continuous investing in quality. Our customers expect the highest quality, in order to keep their most important memories alive for a long time”, says Joris Keijzer, CEO at Albumprinter. “In 2003 we started with just the two of us and now we are a company with 130 employees. We are the market leader in the Netherlands and are in the top 3 in Europe.”
Other Albumprinter successes
It’s not the first time Albumprinter has been awarded. In 2005 and 2006 the company won the PC Magazine Award. In August 2008 Albumprinter’s products were tested ‘best’ in the Digitaal Gids, published by the Consumentenbond (the Dutch Consumer’s organization). In October 2008 Albumprinter was tested ‘best’ by Personal Computer Magazine.
